Everyone Loves Paris

It’s one of the hottest destinations in the world, and rightfully so. Every corner of the city is just so perfectly curated.

I studied French in High School and was lucky to spend some time there during two summers to work on my language skills. It was one of the first cities I got to discover as a young adult. So it holds a special place in my heart. That being said, this time I got to stay in an apartment… overlooking the Seine and Notre Dame. Everything about it was such a dream!

Granted, I am a hotel person because… well, I work IN a hotel. BUT, honestly, I think I’ll forgo the hotel route on all my future stays in Paris. A HUGE thank you to Cobblestone Paris Rentals for an incredible stay.

Below are my Top 5 Reasons to stay local while in Paris.

Notre Dame Cathedral, Paris

1. You get views like THIS.

I stayed at the Balcon Notre Dame apartment and the apartment had views of both the Seine and Notre Dame. Say what?!

2. You get that “Local” experience.

Enjoying a coffee at a local cafe, grabbing food from the local grocery store to cook in your kitchen, and even a chance to talk to neighbors (if you bump into them).

3. You can enjoy more space.

Granted my apartment was a beautiful two-bedroom, but there was so much space! I later heard of the company looking into apartment upgrades, however this was by far spacious enough. Bonus: It even had a washer and dryer, so if you’re on a longer trip, that can be a real plus! Also, there could be some advantages to renting an apartment. For instance, you might not have to deal with the irritating doorbells from the room service person, and you can ask for flexibility in the check-in and check-out times. Moreover, you could also get to live in a house with a French door to the balcony that can offer a wonderful view of the scenic beauty of Paris. This would give you the feel of living like a local. There’s definitely something about french doors that makes almost everyone love them. Whether it’s the aesthetics or the fact that they allow for a grand view of the outdoors, they’re a well-loved type of door in any home. And imagine the view of Paris that you could get through the wide-open doors!

4. You can enjoy your privacy.

There’s something very private about staying in an apartment away from other tourists, a haven where you can come and go as you please, and it’s usually quieter than a hotel.

5. It is less expensive.

Generally, of course. But you can easily share with friends or family to lower costs. And if you are staying for more than 3 days, it can really save a lot. And with more money saved on accommodations, that means more money to spend in the city! If you’re noticing that your spending habits of late have gotten a little out of control, it may be time to start considering the ways that you can reinstate your control over them once more. A technological approach through the use of a budget and subscription tracker (check out this truebill review to see how they could help) may be the way to go. Of course, if you need more money whilst you’re in Paris, you could always consider investing some of your savings into Bitcoin. So many people do this worldwide, so it might be worth giving it a go. You could even consider using Bitcoin Prime to automatically trade the cryptocurrency for you. That would save you time, whilst also increasing the worth of your digital asset.

  1. Nice!
Going to visit friends in the countryside in month or two. Maybe I can rent a place like this for a few days. A little staycation for them.
I’ll be sure to check out Cobblestone Paris Rentals!
