As my mom said, “I feel like I’m on a real vacation! And I’m just in the city!”
Granted that may have been the cocktails🍹talking that we had at both Landshark and (their really cool rooftop bar) 5 O’Clock Somewhere… either way, mom approves!
Returned for my second time, you might even say this has become my new “home away from home in the city I used to call home.”

How’s your sleep when you travel?
Probably pretty crappy. (Hello, I just woke up at 3:30 am today to catch a flight!) But sleep is so important and a big thing that hotels take into consideration. After all, when you’re staying at a property, you are trusting them with one of your basic life necessities. SLEEP.
Travel can wreak havoc on your sleep routine. Sleep hygiene (aka your sleep habits) is super important to not only your daily life, but it can make or break a trip.
Here are a few helpful tips to sleep better when on the road:
💤 Sleep strategically if you’re going to be changing time zones. Start adjusting ahead of time.
☀️ Get lots of natural daylight when and where you can.
🏃🏼♀️ Stay active. Movement should be a part of your routine anyway (it helps with sleep), but definitely keep it up when you travel.
🥃 You’re gonna hate this, but be mindful of your alcohol and caffeine intake. Both can contribute to fatigue or sleep disruption.
💧 Drink plenty of water. Trust.
🛏️ try to follow your regular bedtime routine. (I know we aren’t kids, but adults need bedtime routines too… just like we need naps.)
💊 Try Melatonin to help with better sleep!

Everyone always asks when is the best time to book for the best deals…
⚡️ News Flash ⚡️
The best time to snag a deal is when you find one! There’s no set rule on when the deals come out, so if you’re seeing something that makes you look twice. 👀 Book it.
That being said, focus more on WHEN you travel. Off season or more specifically, days of the week. Think Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. 🗓️
Of course there are always exceptions to these suggestions, and if you’re hoping prices for flights and hotels will come down… don’t get too excited. Expect a little drop, but long gone are the days of super cheap travel from 2020 and 2021.
Plan ahead. Be prepared to pay. But most importantly, enjoy yourself!

One of my favorite features of this resort is that the main lobby area, restaurants and water park are a short shuttle from the building with all the suites! This way you can have peace and calm at your room with ocean views without overheating all the activity in the main part of the resort! Pretty genius, especially if traveling with kids.

Five days of cruising in one reel! 🚢
In case you missed the real time stories, here’s an overall recap of my recent @azamaravoyages cruise! What an adventure! 🌊
What I love about cruises is everything you get to DO. We played on the beach in St John, snorkeled and catamaraned in St Maarten, and we helicoptered in Antigua… from cocktail making classes to dancing the night away… this was a great end to my 2023 travel season. 🏝️
