Travel Essentials: Travel Tips on Passports and Other IDs

http://fiveonenine.ca/2010/07/welcome-to-arva/ First of all, I hope you never have to use this tip. But the reality of it is, sometimes we need to have an extra copy of our Passport or ID. Of course, you can make a photocopy of everything. But then what happens when you lose that copy?

I say make a digital copy of your passport or ID.

Ultimately it all depends on what you are comfortable with. Personally, I have no problem having a copy of my IDs in an email. But if that idea skives you out, then you can take a photo and upload it to your dropbox.  And of course, the easiest way is to just have a photo on your phone.

I am sure there will be many who might chime in that this isn’t safe. But I think the likelihood of you needing it in a dire situation is higher than someone sifting through all your things to find it.

Watch above for my video on how to handle copies of your IDs!
