This family-run business specializes in the best Cuban recipes, from fresh breads to cookies to outstanding cakes.

They even have a cafe to round off your visit.

Come for the pastries and stay for a meal.

Blue Star Donuts

Blue Star Donuts is a gourmet donut concept founded in Portland, OR, in 2012.

Their donuts are made from a classic brioche recipe that originated in the south of France.

The dough takes 18 hours to make and is made by hand every day!

Made with high quality bread flour, cage-free eggs, whole hormone-free milk, and European-style butter. They are made with love!

Their donuts, glazes, and fillings are made fresh throughout the day. And they only cook their donuts in rice oil.

With flavors like Blue Bourbon Basil, they are commonly known as the “Donuts for Grownups!”

Concierge Tip: Looking for a coffee and donut fix? Their Venice location serves Verve Coffee. Trust. This ain’t no Dunkin Donuts experience.

Salt and Straw

Another sweet gourmet concept born in Portland (Man, I gotta move up North!).

When a long lost dream to open up an ice-cream store meets a talented cousin, this family-born venture was an immediate hit.

With flavors like Apples and Sidecar Donuts, Roasted Strawberry and Toasted Coconut, Black Olive Brittle and Goat Cheese, and Avocado and Strawberry Sorbet, there are few ice-cream concepts like this.

If Bluestar is the Donuts for Grownups, Salt and Straw is the ice cream equivalent!

Concierge Tip: Not near one of their awesome locations, you can actually order their ice-cream to be delivered in the mail! Yassss!
